Winter on and around the Zugspitze

The region on and around the Zugspitze is chock full of winter-sports superlatives: the longest free ride, the steepest deep snow piste, the only glacier skiing and a world-cup run as black as the ace of spades. Ranging from gentle baby slopes to the legendary Kandahar men’s downhill run the Zugspitz region offers over 100 km of pistes providing fun and thrills to one and all well into spring. Cross-country skiers can look forward to 658 km of perfectly maintained trails whilst winter hikers cab enjoy the magnificent landscape traversed by some 390 km of preparedwinter pathways.
